Goethean Psychology and Psychotherapy use just a small part of a powerful modality created by Yehuda Tagar in the 1980’s, called Psychophonetics, developed by him over more than 30 years. There are now many practitioners in Australia, South Africa, UK and in Central Europe, where there is a training course.
I trained with Yehuda for three years and everything that I now practise is founded on Psychophonetics, his life work. Any distinctive quality of what I call Goethean Psychology & Psychotherapy, exists only in the name I use and through the way I present it, so it owes its entire methodology to Psychophonetics.
I encourage those who seek a much wider and thorough application of the methodology that Goethean Psychology & Psychotherapy offer,, to actively engage with its Psychophonetics foundation.
Yehuda took up Rudolf Steiner’s detailed picture of the structure of the human soul (no religious faith invoked here, as soul = ‘inner life’) and applied it to drama, from where it evolved into Psychophonetics, a psychotherapy, counselling, coaching model, as applicable to self-development as to chronic anxiety or the trauma of mental and physical abuse. More recently he has used the term Methodical Empathy.
He studied and worked intensively in Israel, Australia, South Africa and the UK, and is now conducting trainings in Central Europe.
The main purpose of any Psychophonetics process is the development of Empathy, through which the client transforms their issue.
